Introducing the First CoPilot Plus Mini PC with Intel’s Core Ultra 9 Processors
Asus unveils the NUC 14 Pro AI, the first mini PC with CoPilot Plus capabilities and Intel’s Core Ultra 9 processor, offering high performance in a compact design.
Asus just dropped the bombshell—the Asus NUC 14 Pro AI, and it’s not just any mini PC. It’s the first to rock CoPilot Plus capabilities, packing Intel’s Core Ultra 9 processor into a sleek, black chassis that’ll make you do a double-take thinking it’s an M4 Mac Mini. Remember when it first popped up at IFA last September? Well, Asus is finally spilling the beans with more specs, though they’re playing coy on when you can actually get your hands on one or how much it’ll cost you.
Here’s the scoop: the NUC 14 Pro AI isn’t a one-trick pony. It comes in five flavors, starting with the Core Ultra 5 226V and 16GB of RAM, all the way up to the beastly Core Ultra 9 288V with 32GB. And get this—it’s not just about raw CPU power. We’re talking up to 67 TOPS of GPU oomph and 48 NPU TOPS, plus an M.2 2280 PCIe Gen 4 x4 slot that’ll take your NVMe SSDs from a modest 256GB to a whopping 2TB. Size-wise? It’s a tiny bit more compact than the Mac Mini, measuring 130mm deep and wide, and just 34mm tall. So yeah, it’s small but mighty.
But wait, there’s more (because of course there is). Asus threw in a fingerprint sensor and a dedicated Copilot button for those moments when you’d rather talk to Microsoft’s AI than type. On the front, you’ve got two USB-A ports, a Thunderbolt 4 port, a headphone jack, and the power button—because you gotta turn it on somehow. Flip it around, and you’re greeted with a 2.5Gbps ethernet jack, another Thunderbolt 4 port, two more USB-A ports, and an HDMI port. And let’s not forget, it’s got Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, because living in the past is so last year.
So, when can you buy it? How much will it set you back? Asus is keeping those cards close to their chest for now. Stay tuned, folks.
