Google’s Veo 2 Video Generation Now Accessible to Gemini Advanced Users
Google has expanded access to its Veo 2 video generation model for Gemini Advanced users, enabling the creation of 720p clips up to eight seconds long with improved understanding of physics and human motion.

After a brief preview period, Google is now offering its Veo 2 video generation model to a wider audience through Gemini Advanced. This tool allows users to craft 720p video clips, lasting up to eight seconds, with the quality of the output heavily dependent on the detail of the user’s description. Google emphasizes that more detailed descriptions grant users greater control over the final product.
Currently, the videos are generated in a 16:9 landscape format, which may not be ideal for all social media platforms. However, Google has made it convenient to share these creations directly to TikTok or YouTube via Gemini’s share sheet, with all videos automatically saved as MP4 files. The Veo 2 model boasts enhancements in comprehending real-world physics and human movements, marking a step forward from its predecessor.
Access to this feature requires subscribing to Google’s $20 per month One AI Premium Plan. Once fully rolled out, Veo 2 will support video generation in all languages available on Gemini, across both web and mobile platforms. Additionally, Google is integrating Veo 2 into Whisk, an experimental AI application on its Google Labs beta platform, allowing users to animate images created within the app.
