LG and Samsung to Integrate Microsoft’s Copilot AI into 2025 Smart TVs
LG and Samsung have unveiled their 2025 smart TVs at CES, featuring Microsoft’s Copilot AI assistant, aiming to enhance user experience with AI-driven functionalities.
At the recent CES event, LG and Samsung showcased their 2025 lineup of smart TVs, highlighting the integration of Microsoft’s Copilot AI assistant. This move signifies a push towards incorporating artificial intelligence into home entertainment, with both brands introducing dedicated AI sections on their smart TVs. LG is taking a step further by rebranding its remote to “AI Remote,” emphasizing the role of large language models in enriching user interaction.
While specifics on Copilot’s functionality on LG TVs remain under wraps, the company suggests it will aid users in efficiently navigating and organizing complex information. Samsung, on the other hand, is leveraging its Vision AI brand to enhance TV features with AI upscaling, Auto HDR Remastering, and Adaptive Sound Pro. The inclusion of an AI button on the remote aims to provide quick access to features like food recognition on screen and AI home security analysis.
Microsoft’s Copilot is set to be a part of Samsung’s Vision AI section, offering personalized content recommendations among other services. Despite the announcements, detailed demonstrations or images of Copilot in action on these TVs have yet to be provided by Samsung, LG, or Microsoft, leaving some questions about the practical application and readiness of this feature.
