The $400 Zelos 450 Smart Grill with Generative AI Unveiled at CES

At CES, barbecue tech startup Brisk It showcased its newest innovation, the Zelos 450 smart grill. This electric wood pellet smoker, priced at $399, incorporates generative AI to streamline the cooking process and craft customized recipes. With 450 square inches of cooking space and Wi-Fi connectivity, users can adjust settings and monitor their food remotely through a mobile app.

The Zelos 450 stands out for its affordability among smart wood pellet grills, especially when compared to Traeger’s Wi-Fi-controlled models starting at $800, which lack generative AI capabilities. It also undercuts Brisk It’s previous AI-powered grills, which began at $849.99.

Brisk It’s Vera AI technology promises to revolutionize grilling by monitoring, controlling, and automating the cooking process. It sends notifications about cooking progress and reminders for tasks like wrapping or spritzing ribs. If these actions are overlooked, the AI adjusts the temperature to prevent food from spoiling.

The Vera 2.0 model on the Zelos 450 introduces Smart Image Recognition and Recipe Re-creation features, enhancing the grilling experience with automated recipe generation and adaptation. The grill supports a temperature range of 180–500 degrees Fahrenheit, suitable for both slow cooking and high-heat grilling.

Set for release in Q1 2025, the Zelos 450 will be available at major retailers including Amazon, The Home Depot, Lowe’s, Walmart, and the Brisk It Grills webstore.
