AI-Driven Song Remixes Now Available for YouTube Shorts Creators

YouTube introduces a new feature for select creators, allowing them to craft unique remixes of existing songs using AI. This feature is part of the Dream Track tool, enabling 30-second personalized tunes for Shorts, transforming original songs into fresh new genres or moods.

YouTube has unveiled a fresh feature enabling select creators to remix existing songs using the AI-powered Dream Track tool. This innovative option allows creators to produce 30-second versions of a song for Shorts by instructing AI on how to modify it. The remix can alter a song’s genre or mood while maintaining the core of the original vocals and lyrics. These remixed tracks will feature proper credits to the original work, displayed within the Short and on the Shorts audio page, and will clearly show the use of AI. Initially launched in November 2023 with Google DeepMind’s Lyria model, Dream Track was available to select U.S. creators and included partnerships with artists like John Legend, Charli XCX, and Troye Sivan, among others. It now supports all U.S. creators.
